I began Alillian Tattoo with the hopes of helping people discover, build & regain self confidence by fusing together brow artistry and micro-pigmentation in a space for people to feel not only beautiful, but heard and understood throughout the very personal process of tattooing.

the journey

Back in 2018, after becoming a licensed tattoo artist and getting certified in cosmetic tattooing, Alillian Tattoo came to fruition. Coming from a long line of artists, I knew from early on in life that I wanted to utilize this natural, and well honed gift of mine in some capacity in my life’s work. As a tattoo artist I have found fulfillment in creating permanent works of art on the human canvas.

In 2018 is when my career began, but 2020 is when everything really took off. 2020 was the year I took a the risk of venturing into the unknown in the midst of covid and decided to completely discontinue offering microblading as a service. As soon as business restrictions lifted I fully transitioned from Microblading to Nano Brows, moving away from a well known established service toward something more inclusive, elevated and what I saw as the future of the cosmetic brow industry (turns out I was right!). I was the first cosmetic tattooist in the Oregon/SW Washington area to offer/specialize in nano brows and continue to be the foremost expert in the area as well as the leading educator on the topic.

I strive to offer the best and most advanced services for my clients. In order to stay true to that mission it was necessary to discontinue microblading and begin doing Nano hair stroke brows instead. It still holds the top spot as the best choice I have made for my business to date (along with one other you’ll read about a few paragraphs down).

lots of new services

In 2019 lip blush and freckles were added to our menu and 2020 saw the addition of areola restorative tattooing. Nano brows quickly became the top service offered post covid, followed by faux freckles (learn more about faux freckle tattoos by reading this blog post).

becoming an educator

Another change that came in 2020 was diving into the world of training and education, this time as the educator instead of the student. For 2 years I worked with a worldwide academy as a “head master trainer”. This entailed single handedly writing an in depth course manual, flying myself and my family (kids and all!) to Mexico for course filming, and working in the brand app to assist in creating a better student user experience for learning. By the time launch day neared I had a new baby of 2 months young and was pulling all nighters the week leading up to D-day. I pulled it off but when the course launched instead of feeling the excitement and pride that should have come with the amount of work I had dedicated to this thing I only felt exhausted, the burn out already creeping in. At the end of 2022 I parted ways with this academy, leaving behind my course, to pursue my own educational endeavors on my own terms - with full creative control and no brand bias, exactly how a good training should be. Fine line tattooing

In January 2022 I finally dove into body tattooing, fulfilling a 15 year dream and goal of breaking into the body art industry. I always knew from the beginning that this was the goal, but didn’t desire to be apart of the old school tattoo industry environment, especially the traditional route of multi year, grunt work apprenticeships in a male driven industry. I wanted to explore art, find my unique style; forging my own path. I didn’t know it in the beginning, but permanent makeup, namely my experience in machine hairstroke brows (nano), would be my segway into an industry so notoriously difficult to break into. As an expert in nano brows coupled with my background in art, I had everything I needed to dive in headfirst — just as I did years before with nano brows.

a new approach to tattooing

It’s my goal for every client that walks through my doors to be satisfied well beyond their expectations and that the process is not only exciting but enjoyable. I’ve thrown the antiquated ideals and standards of traditional tattoo shops out the window in lieu of a new way of doing things. Tattoo shops can be intimidating for many people, so we do everything we can to make the process welcoming and relaxing, keeping you involved in every part of the tattooing process. Need your stencil moved or adjusted? No problem, I can move it as many times as we need! We won’t begin until your placement and design are perfect, whether it’s for brows, freckles or a body tattoo.

I am the ultimate perfectionist and creating is my thing. But something else that’s my thing, that goes beyond all of the artistry that goes into my work, is making others feel good about themselves. Giving someone back what chemotherapy and cancer so cruelly took from them, or maybe it was just the 90’s, you, and your tweezers. Whether you have a little or a lot of hair, cosmetic tattooing can be for you.
